Blenheim Palace, 24/02/1947 Mr Tomlin, Miss Carr, Mr Charles, Miss Douglas, Mr King The environs of Blenheim Palace were used as government offices in the WWII period and I believe that huts in the courtyard were used for this purpose. In 1947 it was used by the Ministry of Supply. This photo was taken by my Dad of his co-workers there at the time of the Big Freeze. As you can see there is lots of snow on the ground. In the background we see the ornate iron gates which can be seen in the Aerofilms image. This is the first time this photo has been in the public domain.
