| This was the old Penybont school. To the bottom right is the "Embassy" bridge. The cinema and Palais-De-Danse are not yet built. Sweet factory was before my time. To the toip left was the work-house which later became bridgend Hospital. |

I am not sure if in fact that is the Sweet factory but across the river is certainly Pen y Bont School and the Old Gas Works. as Far as I remeber the Sweet Factory was in The Rhiw |
