As a small child Ali remember going to meet my dad from his work here and standing watching the jars of moving down the line, they used to have regular open days which were great. And at Christmas their was a kids Christmas party put on in the club house at the corner of braids road for the staffs kids.

This grass area was turned into a car park for brown and polson staff members approx 1986 and turned into a housing estate.

Lived on tho street for 22 years from 1984 most of the neighbours worked for brown and Polson's including my father, was a lovely place to stay, community feel, everyone looked after their properties and knew each other.

Glasgow and South Western Railway - This railway ran from Paisley West station in Maxwellton Street (also on the Canal line) to Barrhead Central. The line went round the back of Meikleriggs cricket ground, across Corsebar Road, beneath Stanely Road to the strip of land between Bushes Avenue and Stanely Drive, behind the houses on the south side of Falside Road then to the former Cadbury's depot (now houses) on Neilston Road and the adjacent Potterhill station.
