Well of course some people might regard this building as nondescript but with a little investigation we find that it was the Tinsley tram depot for Sheffield Corporation. There is some information about the building on wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sheffield_Tramway#Tinsley_depot The depot is Grade II listed on the Historic England website http://list.historicengland.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1270906 Personally I am grateful that Historic England can make informed choices when making listing decisions. |
