 Park Road - a terrace of impressive Victorian semi-detached residences. Still there (most of them) but a bit down- at -heel (2013). |

| On this site was built the Percival Whitley College of Further Education in the 1950s. When it was built it was Halifax's tallest building and visible from all the hills around the town. It is still there (2013) and has been greatly expanded. It is now called Calderdale College. |

| At the time of this picture this was the Halifax Technical College (the tech). The building is now demolished and has been replaced by a car park for the newer college which has sprung up and expanded next door. |
