Bridge Mill, or Hebden Bridge Mill, parts of which date back to 1714, when it was the Manorial Corn Mill. This still contains a working waterwheel inside the cafe in the building and also now has at the back of the mill, in the river an Archimedes Screw Turbine which provides electricity for the mills many shops and cafe.

The bridge after which Hebden Bridge gets it's name. The bridge was part of the packhorse route to Heptonstall, and so the town was originally named ' Hepton Brigge' or, The Bridge to Hepton.

This, in fact at the time the photo was taken was merely 'The Council Offices'

It is only in very recent years since it was refurbished that it has been re-named The Town Hall.
