The former Oxford, Worcester and Wolverhampton Railway, completed in 1854 as a mixed broad/standard gauge line - but no broad gauge trains ran on it, even when the Great Western Railway was participating in it's affairs, and took the line over in 1861.

Line - originally a horse-drawn tramway between Moreton and Stratford. It did not do well, even with a branch to Shipston-on-Stour. Taken over by the GWR in 1852. The passenger service between Stratford and Moreton stations in 1859. The GWR laid a new line to Shipton-on-Stour in 1889 - it closed to passengers in 1929 and to goods in 1960.
