Everyone seems intrigued by the sight of a low flying aircraft as people would be nowadays. Because Budleigh is a pebble beach families with children are relatively rare and as a result the seafront is not commercialised.

The plane is quite low for this photo and it's certainly got the attention and curiosity of the bathers and those on the beach.

Fascinating to see these groups on the beach 85 years ago. Overdressed compared to now but the swimsuits are more cut away than I thought.
