Disused platform of Rugby Road Halt, closed in 1917, but it's decaying remains were still there in the 1950s. The Goods service closed with the line in 1965. http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/r/rugby_road_halt/index.shtml

This was A Block. This was the short order department and on the top floor the short order pumping element and injector mfc. Large B,C,and single Cylinder pumps(until moved to Bryce) were made. I think A3 was electrical.

This was the sight of the Engineering School in 1960 when I started work as an Apprentice. The Supervisor was Mr Frampton, Instructors were Bunny Yates Stan Blackwell Mr Wells and A N Other who was the Grinding Instructor. You walked through to the Pattern shop and the Tool room.

I was an apprentice there in 1978. Mr Wells was in charge then, (if it's the same chap). Other instructors were Mr Allinson, & Mr Goodman.

Mr Goodman would let me nip off for a fag. He would usually give me a chitty for some useless piece of stuff from the main stores many minutes walk away.
