I agree with smoore's comment, it is hulme and Pauldins. Cambridge St runs across from right to left of forefront Pauldins |

This is Hulme in Manchester.At the top just right of centre are the grounds of All saints church- which is now a small park. Cavendish Street and Stretford Road comprises the main thoroughfare on the right hand side of the picture- the drill hall can be seen just below the large white building. The top left of the pctture shows the mackintosh Rubber works- now student accomodation. The road going left to right through the centre with the shops on it is Medlock Street. The left of the picture is north. |

I'd say they're about 7-8000 feet. But where has such a rigid rectangular/ squares layout ? Looks like a church top right. |
