A petrol pump attendant who appears in the October 1926 photo as well. With at least two attendants at this garage there's no self service here! Does anyone know when petrol pump attendants ended.

It was a slow process, mainly through the 1960's and early 1970's. A few carried on much later and there is still one that I know of, on the A36 at West Wellow that still serves you.
