 Looks like a very old 4 wheeler coach, probably a "mess & tool" van for the Signal Engineer's department. |

| The three stripes denote this is a "shock" van. The body has springs to allow it to move forwards and back if heavy shunting occurs and thus protect it's load. |

Teleagraphic code was "SHOCVAN" painted on the side to assist staff as well as the three vertical stripes |
