Fireless locomotive, note the shadow shows a steam dome but no chimney. Also, the loco is exhausting steam from the back - the cylinders were positioned at the rear, beneath the cab, unlike conventional steam locomotives. This was most probably one of two built by Andrew Barclay Sons and Company Ltd of Kilmarnock, Scotland, for the the Imperial Paper Mill in 1916 and 1917.
