Somewhere very near here was the site of an ancient Hall called Warhall or War Hall. For reference, see the Wednesbury (West Bromwich) enclosure map of 1804. https://www.search.staffspasttrack.org.uk/Details.aspx?&ResourceID=48262&PageIndex=1&KeyWord=west%20bromwich&SortOrder=2.

Harvills Hawthorn Wesleyan Methodist Chapel - built in 1850. "By 1940 congregational numbers had declined and services were held at the Sunday School while the Chapel was being used as a Warehouse. In 1955 the congregation moved to a new chapel at the corner of New St. & Hill Top - which is still in use." https://blackcountryparishregisters.weebly.com/west-brom-hill-top.html
