BOAC (British Overseas Airways Corporation - the nationalised airline) used the West Bay of the Brabazon Hangar for several years from late 1948 until facilities at Heathrow were built. Lockheed Constellation and Boeing Stratocruiser airliners were a common sight at Filton in those days. |
