PILLBOX (TYPE FW3/22): S0006189 (The Defence of Britain Project) Location: E of A134 road, some 350m SE of the Crutched Friars house and 250m N of reservoir in a fruit farm. OS Grid Ref: TL 8907 5861 Condition: Good Description: 1996/03/27 Standard type 22 pillbox, except for covered entrance and lack of anti-ricochet wall. Entrance faces W. Earth / grass on roof. PILLBOX (TYPE FW3/27): S0006187 (The Defence of Britain Project) Location: 50m SW of old railway line SE of Hilltop Farm, Little Welnetham. OS Grid Ref: TL 8863 5959 Condition: Good Description: 1996/03/27 Standard type 27 pillbox. No steel plates around embrasures. PILLBOX (TYPE FW3/22): S0006188 (The Defence of Britain Project) Location: Some 150m NE of Manor Farm at junction of A134 road and Water Lane, 50m SW of old railway line. OS Grid Ref: TL 8886 5938 Condition: Good Description: 1996/03/27 Standard type 22 pillbox except that there are no embrasures in the entrance wall (facing SW), but there is an 'L'-shaped blast wall, attached to the pillbox by one army, in front of the entrance, with a single embrasure.
