Almost certainly. Note the difference in roofs along a number of the nearby terraces, clearly repaired. The area was heavily 'blitzed' on the 7th September 1940 - people were evacuated by the Woolwich Free Ferry during the night to a safer south side of the river. There were still areas of bomb damage into the 1950s - mid 1950s to early 1960s I used to cross on the ferry and take the train to Stratford to do some train-spotting. |
