Ashford North Secondary Modern Boys' Lower School occupied the old grammar school building on Hythe Road after the new grammar school was built within grammar school grounds in the late 1950s. The old Victorian grammar was demolished in the 1960s. Ashford's renamed 'The North School' is amalgamated from the old Ashford North Secondary Boys' and Girls' schools now accommodated in a brand new coed school block.
