To the right (east) of the railway may been seen a system of temporary sidings that carried building materials onto the new housing estate. In the lower right-hand corner of the picture is a string of open wagons, the light colour suggesting that they might be carrying sand or gravel. While one line connects to the railway another is curving off into the estate. The full extent of these sidings beyond the edge of the picture can be seen at the top of EPW017380
