 This house was called Highcombe, and was built ion a plot of ground purchased in 1908, with the house being completed in 1910. In 1971 the site was sold for re-development as a block of flats, though the name Highcombe was retained. |

| This ancient twitten (vestiges of which can still be seen at the side of Dolphin Court) ran from Cliff Road to Darley Road (the bricked-up access visible here). It continued (and still does) to the rear of the Ship, coming out in Derwent Road. For further details contact Eastbourne Local History Society. |
