Town Mills (Flour). Wingent and Cummins ran the mill until the 1920s when the mill stood idle for several years. The mill was remodelled for Herbert Hooker, from Canterbury, with new roller plant by Henry Simon of Manchester in 1928. By 1956 the plant had an output of 13 sacks an hour - small in comparison with port mills at London. Hookers amalgamated with Hudsons of Ramsgate in the 1950s. All this area was once part of the Dock yard. This building with the archway I think may have been stables. My Mother worked here in the late 1960s when it was a United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority out station.

1920 Too soon for the Naval Memorial on the Gt Lines which sadly latrer improved the looks of the area with it's good appropiate design.Quite a few buildings remain as mentioned by others but the units near Sun Pier are a mystery.3 large light structures by the paddock.Warehouses perhaps?
