I don't understand this at all. It appears to be a cutting to take a road underneath the factory. The canal is to the rear of the factories in this picture, so it cannot be a through road. The main factory entrance is from Beresford Avenue. If the cutting is continued away from the factory it meets the end of Wycombe Road, and then out to the North Circular. But why bother? '
