' This building was the Co-op cinema, it is shown on the 1915 edition of the 25 inch Ordnance Survey map, to the rear of the row of shops that were the original premises of the Prestwich Co-op before they were replaced by Tower Buildings, Access was via the short entry to the side of the White Horse pub. As the 1907 edition of the map is not available on the NLS website I haven't been able to verify the early history of the building. However some of the interior fittings of the building could be seen when Tower Buildings was being demolished. '
