' Great Central main line, built in the 1890s and closed in 1969. Southwards part has been restored, as has part north of here. Work is ongoing to link the two halves together, including the building of a new bridge over the Midland Main Line, restoration of the canal bridge and eventual reinstatement of this embankment. '
