Memory lane - Dale Fort. Dale Fort was a mid-19th century coastal artillery fort at Dale Head; it is now a Field Studies centre which I attended as a 6th Former back in 1962-63 for a week, to study the Littoral Zone. Despite the isolated site, we did manage to enjoy ourselves. '
