This was the location of Ford Station. This station was closed in 1951 when scheduled electric train services between Aintree Sefton Arms and Liverpool Exchange via Bootle ceased.The route remained electrified until 1956 for the use of Liverpool Overhead Railway Grand National Specials running to and from Aintree Station and Dingle. '
