1945. I was a lad of 7 and my father pulled my leg that the Station at Pontypridd was the highest station in Wales and was even higher than the "Full Moon". Whether such a pub stills exists is not known. Memories are stirred!

Wrong Pub!

This is the White Hart. The Full Moon was on on the otherside of the road immediatley alongside the station retaining wall.

The saying used to be that it was the highest station in the world, because it was above the Half Moon and below the Morning Star (on the Graig Hill about qauter of a mile further up)

My thanks to Chelsea61. I had no idea that I had so accurately dropped my marker on an actual pub, albeit the wrong one.

My Grand-farther told me that Pontypridd Railway Station was the highest in the world (I said it couldn't be! he said) because it above the Half Moon and below the Morning Star.
