This is more likely to have been a concrete K3.

After the war, this bit of rough ground - reached up a steep slope from Headstone Drive next to the steepled building - was a junk yard the like of which you don't see today. My dad took me there as a kid and would haggle with the owner over odd bits of timber he wanted. Bit reminiscent of Steptoe's really.

Became a car park. Flats on part of the site. George Gange Way (Wealdstone By pass) cuts through there behind the Polive Station.

Closed and became the InShops. This has now closed as the InShops group has gone bust. Building is now empty

The InShops building seems to serve a similar purpose; a retail arcade.

The Popular Stores is a 1930s building. The InShops building is very much more recent.

My Great Grandparents lived in cottages called 'Pleasant Place' where the Police Station is now. This was in late Victorian times.

Never seen any photos of the cottages though.
