I'd suggest it's a 4-4-2T 2221 "County Tank" class. The 61xx class 2-6-2T's which were synonymous with the main line out of Paddington weren't introduced until 1931, and the last of the "County Tanks" went in 1934. It's also unlikely to be one of the earlier 2-6-2T's as they weren't really associated with this part of the GWR at this time. |
