Parnalls Works. This stretches from Lodge Causeway back to Fishponds Station. The original buildings were erected in 1906 for Brazil Straker engineering and are where (Sir) Roy Fedden designed Straker Squire cars and later the first Jupiter aero-engines. See: http://www.transportarchive.org.uk/getobject.php?rnum=G2341&searchitem=causeway&mtv=G1&pnum=1 Parnalls bought the site in 1926 after Fedden had moved to Patchway to start the Bristol Aerpplane Company's Engine Department
