This is loco number 4326, the first of the USA tanks to be used in Southampton docks, its original United States markings can be seen on its flank. A trial of 4326 to assess its suitability, commenced in May 1946 and this photo is dated June 1946. The trial was a success and a further 13 were purchased in 1947.
