This building became Wellington House Surgery . Doctors in residence were Fraser Newman and son and it survived into the early 70s until they moved into the Town centre .

This building was referred to by the locals as the " Tin Co-op " as it was constructed from corrugated sheets , many is the gas mantle I was sent to fetch from here.

This was my first home in Batley , these houses were considered as " Slum " dwellings and were demolished in the early 60s .
