Melrose station on the former Waverley railway line (closed 1969). You can still stand on the station platform and watch the traffic drive past on the A6091 bypass. It's all rather surreal. Alas - the railway trackbed is now a major road. Good news though that the Waverley Line is to be reopened between Edinburgh and Galashiels. |
