Webb Corbett Ltd., Coalbournhill Glass Works. Thomas Bradley Junior built Coalbournhill Glassworks in about 1691. It passed to his sons on his death on 10th August 1705. Initially operated by Edward Bradley in partnership with Jeremiah Minors, but soon came under the control of his older brother John. He leased the works to Elijah and Humphrey Batchelor on 9th April 1714. On the death of the widow of Humphrey Batchelor, in 1762 the works were left to her brothers Waldron and Thomas Hill who soon took on a partner William Waldron. By 1809 the works was owned by Hill, Waldron, Littleton & Hampton making bottles. In 1839 the glassworks was owned by Stevens Brothers & Co, manufacturers of black and German amber bottles. The British Lens & Glass Co. owned it in 1900. It was operated by several firms and stood vacant for a period until it was taken over by Thomas Webb and Corbett Ltd in 1913/1914. Production ceased in March 1999.
