| These cooling towers were still there in the 1950s alonside two big concrete ones for what was the Electic Power Station. The Bradford Gas works was not here but off Wakefield Road. |

The wooden cooling towers (long disused) were demolished circa 1975. |

| Wapping School. There is a swimiing pool in the basement. In 1957/8 we came here by trolly bus from Greegates (passing the Jowett Factory) for our swimming lessons. |

I remember those swimming lessons - must have been about the same time, or just a few years later. On a visit back to Bradford last year I went round that area - just a wrecked shell now! |
