This pair of houses was built by Arthur Cheshire in about 1927. He lived in the nearest one into his 90's, then my brother lived there with his wife (Cheshire's grand daughter) from 1974 until 1996.

This was E.K. Cole (ECKO) radio factory during WWII. When I was young in the 50's and 60's it was the Parazone factory. It then became Erskines, a Ford dealer later becoming Dagenham Motors. Now converted to flats.
