During WW2, this area was used as a hutted emergency hospital facility annexe to St Mary's Hospital, Paddington. The huts were still in situ in the 1980s but had been cleared away by the 1990s. A privately funded 'Medical Park' was to be built on the site, but the plans came to nothing.
