This would be at the "Three Counties" station, at the south end of the village, extensive railway sidings were sited here not only to supply and remove the LBC but to supply the Three Counties Mental Hospital (which, like the LBC, had their own railway system radiating from these sidings.

I have written bloggs about the history of arlesey and want a photo of the closed cement works.There was a prisoner of was camp situated there during the second world war.My dad was stationed there.Can't find any photos of it though.

My great granddad James Allen and other Allen relatives worked here.In fact Ranji Singhi Allen was one of the last workers who closed the site down.He was named after the great Indian batsmen ,his dad Alfred (punch) Allen being a cricket fanatic

Ranji Singhji Allen used to allow his daughter Hazel Allen to ride in the empty chalk buckets back up to the Blue Lagoon.I interviewed her shortly before she died aged 90 a few years ago.I then wrote a blogg about Ranji Singhi Allen on my site arcangelolombari@wordpress.com
