THIS BUILDING STILL SURVIVES....AMONGST OTHER THINGS IT WAS A 'COLMORE DEPOT' FIAT CAR SHOWROOM IN LATE 1960'S, A 'KWIK-SAVE' SUPERMARKET,..ETC.

Before the war this was a Wall's production facility. During the war it was converted to produce electrical items for armaments, my mother worked there for a time. I'm not sure what it was used for after the war when it ceased to be a Wall's facility, but I don't remember it being a Colmore Depot. The local Fiat dealership in the 1960s was the Colliers garage located at the Swan Island, I came close to buying a car from them in the mid 60s but decided on a Ford.
