Original Cranford Junior School [which later transferred to the newly built site at the far end of Berkley Avenue]. A track past the building led to a corrugated iron church at the rear. The old school building was used as a sort of church hall and community centre [before such places were thus named].

Dudset Lane. This road cum track went round to Dudset Farm on the opposite side of the River Crane - accessed on via a narrow wooden footbridge and a ford for vehicles. You could buy fresh eggs [and possibly other produce] from the farmhouse opposite the bridge.

Leake's Bakery - A small family owned bakers existed in the corner of the yard. I have an idea they only baked bread rather than anything fancy such as cakes.

Old Post Office - the front section was demolished when the Bath Road was widened, the rest still remains, but with a blank wall at the front facing the road.
