Baptist Church, erected in 1846. The congregation first began meeting in 1799 and using a number of premises before settling in Howard Street. At one point, the congregation regularly numbered 250.

Methodist Church until 1932, when the congregation moved to new premises in Hawkey's Lane. Subsequently it became Woolworths until the company entered administration in 2008. As of 2021, it is a Frank's flooring shop selling carpets and flooring.
