Baptist Church, erected in 1846. The congregation first began meeting in 1799 and using a number of premises before settling in Howard Street. At one point, the congregation regularly numbered 250. |

Methodist Church until 1932, when the congregation moved to new premises in Hawkey's Lane. Subsequently it became Woolworths until the company entered administration in 2008. As of 2021, it is a Frank's flooring shop selling carpets and flooring.
