| Belle Vue, Hyde Road. The most famous Speedway Stadium in the UK. The track was built around an existing athletics and cycling track. The football pitch was used by Manchester Central FC. This was the first purpose built speedway track in the UK and was used from 1929 until the track was sold for development in 1987. |

The Greyhound Track on Kirkmanshulme Lane and the famous track within the Zoological Gardens on Hyde Road have both been home to Belle Vue Speedway since 1928. |
