New Brighton Tower and Ballroom. When built, it was taller than Blackpool Tower. I am only old enough to remember the Ballroom with a chairlift up to the roof of the building.

Tower here in process of being dismantled, lack of maintenance when closed to visitors during WW1 influencing the decision.

Known as the drill hall this larger building is still used today as a sports centre. The small house attached is home to Merseyside sub aqua club BSAC branch 5.

Yeah. It's Guinea Gap Baths. They were still salt water when I was a boy, right up until the refurb in the 80s
