Another vestige of rural West Bromwich, showing some of the last remaining fields in Lyndon. These fields in the triangle bordered by Hargate Lane, Lyndon and Sandwell Road.

Wood Lane Farm, Harwood Street, Cutler's (Lambert's) End and surrounding fields. To the left, the higgledy-piggledy arragement of the houses in Lambert's End can be clearly seen and reflects the haphazard development on the edge (end) of West Bromwich Heath before the West Bromwich Enclosure Act was passed in 1801.

Site of Cronehills Colliery, Sandwell Road.

Dagger Lane

Stoney Lane - this field was home to West Bromwich Albion football club from 1885-1900.

Horse & Jockey, Stoney Lane, is the corner building at the road fork, as it is now (2014). Sheridan Street backs out onto fields, as Grafton Road was not yet built.

Mayers Green, West Bromwich. The extension of New Street up to Dartmouth Park was yet to be built. To the left - Christ Church Schools - built 1862 and opened 1863. Closed 1968.

Crown and Cushion public house, Lloyd Street. The field to the south of Lloyd Street running parallel with it is the Four Acres field, home of West Bromwich Albion football club from 1882-1885.

The site of the future Tantany Estate started in 1920.
