THOMAS SKURRY AND MR.MOLE ACCOUNTANT OF DYMORE BROWNS TOGETHER BROUGHT FERGUSONS AND THEN SOLD IT TO MORLAND & CO ABINGDON & READING LTD.THOMAS SKURAY WAS CHAIRMAN OF BERKSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL FOR OVER 28 YEARS BORN IN STRETLEY WENT TO READING AND UNIVERSITY LONDON AND LIVED IN ABINGDON BERKSHIRE UNTIL HIS DEATH IN 1938, HIS SON THOMAS EDWARD DEANE SKURRAY KNOWN AS DEANE TOOK OVER FROM HIS FATHER AS DIRECTOR OF MORLAND & CO LTD UNTIL HIS UNTIMLY DEATH ON THE OLD A4 BATH ROAD WHEN HIS VAN HIT AN UNLIT TIMBER LORRY DEANE DIED IN THE BATTLE HOSPITAL, HIS BULL TERRIER SURVIVED THE CRASH. |
