Hunslet Lane School. It had a pool and we went there a few times for our school swimming lessons when st Joseph Street had boiler problems.

The Adelhi. A Tetleys house. Sank a good few in here, and the Red Lion over the road. By Barney Rubble.

Just look at these 2 garages opposite each other; so simple, stylish, and both able to make a living. What a wonderful, characterful, uncomplicated world we have destroyed. By Barney Rubble.

The Red Lion, a Samuel Smiths pub. In a much more sensible and decent time. By Barney Rubble.

The Market Taven, a Tetleys house. All human life was there towards the end, it was demolished in the early 90's. Beer was always (unlike some of the customers) superb. Much missed. By Barney Rubble.

The building survives as an art gallery, brewery having closed in 2011. I remember the aroma of the brewery in 1970s and the lovely Tetley shire horses which we saw from time to time.
