 Slough Arm of the Grand Union Canal
Opened in December 1882 to serve the growing brickwork and gravel industry along its length. The last commercial traffic along its length was in 1960 and it was to be abandoned and filled in. However, plans were opposed by local residents and it was reopened in 1975.
