Known locally as Monkey Island. Cottage believed to have been built for watchman during pier construction.Subsequently rented out by Harbour Board. Last Tenants were Easton family 1944-1957. Adjacent are the buildings of the RAF Marine Craft Depot/ Air Sea Rescue Base 1938-mid 1950s.

This should be named Amble harbour/Port, not Warkworth.
