A "standard" Spud Lobnitz-type pierhead moored next to and "LST" type. Both types were used in the Mulberry harbours during D-Day. Question is, are they units returned from the harbours post war, or were they spare units to be deployed if necessary?

Spud Lobnitz type Pierhead. This appears to be a LST type pierhead. The upper unloading platform can be seen, along with the unloading ramp frame on the right side plainly visible.
