Co-op grocery store. It used to have a system to transfer payment and change between those serving customers at the various counters and a cashier who was positioned separately. From memory, this was an overhead wire system with spring-loaded propulsion of the screw-on 'cups'.

The 'Red Rec' Named as it was covered in red ash. It had a play area in use until the 1980's when the A50 was cut through it!

Long since filled in. My grandmother told a of a horse and cart being lost into the hole whilst tipping rubble into it.
